چکیده

We propose a simple inter-symbol interference (ISI) and inter-block interference (IBI) cancellation scheme for single carrier block transmission with cyclic prefix (SCCP) systems with insufficient guard interval (GI). In the SC-CP system, the equalization and demodulation processing is conducted in a block-by-block manner, therefore, the IBI can be reduced by using previously detected data signals. For the ISI cancellation, we firstly generate replica signal of the ISI using tentative decisions in order to make the defective channel matrix to be circulant, and then we perform the conventional FDE to compensate the ISI. We also derive minimum mean–square–error (MMSE) and zero forcing (ZF) equalizers for the shake of performance benchmark. Computer simulation results show that the proposed interference cancellation scheme can significantly improve the bit error rate (BER) performance and can outperform the MMSE equalizer while it requires lower computational complexity.

Interference Cancellation Schemes for Single-Carrier Block Transmission with Insufficient Cyclic Prefix

This paper proposes intersymbol interference (ISI) and interblock interference (IBI) cancellation schemes at the transmitter and the receiver for the single-carrier block transmission with insufficient cyclic prefix (CP). The proposed scheme at the transmitter can exterminate the interferences by only setting some signals in the transmitted signal block to be the same as those of the previous t...

Frequency Domain Soft-Decision Feedback Equalization for SC-FDMA with Insufficient Cyclic Prefix

Single-carrier frequency-division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system suffers performance degradation when the length of the cyclic prefix (CP) is less than the channel delay spread. In this paper, based on MMSE criterion, we proposed an efficient frequency domain soft-decision feedback equalization (FDSDFE) scheme for SC-FDMA system. The proposed scheme employs residual inter-symbols cancellation...

A Simple Interference Elimination Scheme for Single Carrier Block Transmission with Insufficient Cyclic Prefix

This paper proposes a simple inter-symbol interference (ISI) and inter-block interference (IBI) elimination scheme for a single carrier block transmission with cyclic prefix (SC-CP) system with an insufficient guard interval (GI). In the SC-CP system, only limited number of symbols in a transmitted block cause the interferences, while all the information data contribute to the interferences in ...

An Efficient Receiver for Ici Cancellation in Ofdm Systems Based on Prcc Scheme Using Mmse Equalizer

This paper presents a cyclic prefixed conjugate transmission technique with adaptive receiver to cancel out the ICI in OFDM systems using MMSE equalizer. The receiver design is based on the phase rotated conjugate cancellation (PRCC) concept , where two individual phase rotations are employed on the two receive paths, rather than only one phase rotation is adopted for the two transmit paths in ...

An Adaptive Antenna Array for Single Carrier Modulation with Cyclic Prefix

Abstract The introduction of a cyclic prefix to the single carrier block transmission enables us to equalize received signals using 1-tap DFT domain equalizers, however, the existence of delayed signals beyond the guard interval (GI) deteriorates the performance. In this paper, we propose a new weight control method for a pre-FFT type adaptive antenna array applied to a single carrier block tra...
